RL Buller & Son from Rutherglen has released the 2003 vintage of their increasingly popular Victoria Rosé. It is an excellent example of this style of wine and one that the family are very proud of. Richard Buller, winemaker states: “I believe that this latest release will please our regular customers and perhaps even win over a few consumers who have, until now, passed rosé by”. The Buller family has been making rosé since the early 80’s and is fully committed to the style of wine. Where some rosés are an exercise in utilising poor fruit sources or leftovers from a crush, the fruit for the Victoria rosé has been intended for the wine from the beginning, ensuring its quality, freshness and vibrancy. Much of the allure of this wine lies in its immediate appeal and attractiveness. “The best thing about this wine is that it is made to be consumed now. This ensures you can enjoy the vibrant fruit flavours, fresh, clean palate and slight acid kick in the finish”, states Richard. The Victoria Rosé is an excellent accompaniment to a wide range of foods and is an ideal picnic wine where a variety of flavours is served. Of course, it is also an excellent wine for summer – served chilled, with or without food. The 2003 Victoria Rosé is widely available through all major liquor stores. The recommended retail price is $10. |
